The Lobelia Kimono is a full length kimono made from silk habotai silk. She chose this fabric because of its lightweight and airy feeling it gives, so light it floats around the wearer. It folds up into a small square making it perfect for travel.
Only one made.
Every textile is hand picked by Victoria from the wilds of surplus and dead stock fabric houses in Los Angeles. Then alchemized over several days in a time and labor intensive process, and hand dyed with cochineal and quebracho rojo.
Those who love soft pink, mauves and greys, this piece has a rich aliveness that only hand made things have.
