ABOUT VICTORIA

Victoria Keen is a fabric alchemist, a sound sorceress, a plant witch and Mother.  Her deep affinity for flowers, fabric, and healing is rooted in her mother’s lineage as she is the third generation of women in her family to work professionally with textiles, fashion and plants.

Upon graduating from Parsons School of Design, Victoria founded her conscious clothing line in 2003 with her original handmade textiles, and ran her eponymous NYC shop for almost a decade.  From the beginning, Victoria’s brand has supported non sweatshop labor, local production and has always worked as sustainably as possible.

Her collection serves to be a voice for the forgotten women in the fashion supply chain and raise awareness around environmental destruction due to the global fast fashion industry.

Ever refining her creative process over the year, while also studying herbalism and sound medicine among other somatic and energetic healing modalities has profoundly shaped her multi~passionate work into a myriad of offerings that beautifully complement each other.

Letting herself be guided by the plants to go deeper with her alchemical process led her to creating one of a kind naturally transformed pieces made from deadstock fabrics.  Beyond using newly milled organic goods, she prefers to harvest her fabric from the wilds of surplus warehouses. Her handcrafted pieces can be viewed and purchased in person at Moonastar Collective in Topanga, CA.

Currently, Victoria teaches popular organic natural and food waste dye workshops that spark conversations about all things zero waste, food and fiber, fast fashion and sustainability.
